I flew the NIK2 and led a flight, as well. This event was a first, since there were specific orders of battle that were predetermined and both sides could see them. The orders above outlined our missions with my interpretations of the HQ Mission Orders. My job included assignment of fields, how a group hit what targets etc. We still had to make our "list of requirements" as did the allies. Overall, it was a challenge for me but the time and effort needed was welcomed by me. I really enjoyed the experience and I hope many others did as well. No final score was ever given, but it appeared that the last 2 frames were Allied victories. We did not sink our required number of ships. |
