"Attack enemy shipping in the Sulu Sea."
Load 100% fuel and bombs. (GL may change and has permission to
alter as required)
Proceed NOE with the Bomber group 755th Southeast until you reach the 3
Sector Column and then climb to 15K -24K or best Alt you require.
Spread fighters and Sweep the 3 10 Sector looking for carrier groups. The
Allied have 4 squadrons of crack fighters stationed on the carriers according to
our intelligence reports.VMF-115
and VMF-211: Providing combat air patrol over the
US Navy shipping in the Sulu Sea. and
VC-20 and VC-81: Providing
combat air patrol over the US Navy shipping in the Sulu Sea.
Intelligence does not give us the total numbers
but we estimate 28 to 30 fighters. F4U-1A, F4U-1D, and FM2 planes were reported
on their carrier decks. Coordinate your attacks with 52nd Sentai GL perdweeb and
OOZ662 bomber GL. Keep your planes as close to the western side of the 3 sector
and 52nd Sentai will be in the eastern side of the 2 sector. You may send a
scout flight ahead at low level to sweep and report sightings. Repeat this
mission as required

"Attack enemy shipping in the Sulu Sea."
Load 100% fuel and Torpedo. (GL may change)
Proceed SW on a heading of 225 degrees and NOE (under 1500 feet.). At Sector
(6 12 5) turn to hdg 180 (due South) and proceed . Continue South and
throttle back and proceed to (3 12 5) and await confirmed carrier
sighting(s). Your Primary mission is to sink an active aircraft carrier. and
secondary is to sink enemy shipping if carrier not found. Make approach
stealthy, from the South, if possible then make your run and exit the area
immediately. Return to base and re-launch as often as you can. An
Alternate path is drawn in the event you feel endangered by A-33. I
estimate that there is a 95% probability that the Remaining P-38s will lift from
A-33 to defend the shipping. Brooke and Escort will make final decision on
course.

"Provide fighter cover of Panay and Mindoro Islands and shipping to the east of
Mindoro."
Load 50% Fuel & 1-300 Liter Drop Tank (GL calls)
Launch your planes and grab to an altitude or altitudes as necessary
to detect and prevent attacks on Mindoro Island, Panay Island and it's
facilities.
Provide Scout(s) for the Panay Strat near A-56. I expect this to be a
33% probability first strike option and therefore need eyes on it.
Since it is our Port, it will flash if attacked. The scout(s) will also
investigate any base flashings on Panay Island, locate and report
B-24 sightings and follow closely to report location, alt and direction of
travel.
2 additional scouts will be placed between A-49 and A-50 as I have a 66%
probability of them coming north to overfly shipping into our strats on
Mindoro helping the B-25's and their escorts locate our shipping.
Remember, the B-24s will attack our shipping
as it is their secondary mission. It is paramount that we locate and
destroy them. B-25's are on a primary mission to attack
shipping, as well.

Launch and immediately climb to 18-20K and remain perched above A-58 and
West of A-95. Stay loose and prepare to move with the mass formed there
represented by the dark circle with the remaining 252nd Zero's, 341st NIKIs, and
52 Sentai KI-84's. Engage all fighters attacking the NIKIs who are first in on
the Bombers. KI-84's will dive in and hit the bombers with the Zero's cleaning
their sixes.

"Provide fighter cover over Panay and

Load 100% fuel and Drop tank only. (GL may change
as needed)
Launch from Home Field A-56. Send observers/scouts NW of A-13, SE of A-56,
and S or SE of the Port Strat. Do not engage unless you have a clear
attack at the B-24s. Shadow them and make an intercept course to intersect with
the large CELL in the shipping area. You will then engage after the NIKIs if you
have an alt advantage. Otherwise wait for the fight to drop to an optimum
advantage altitude and kill bombers and escorts. I'd rather give up hits on the
strat over hits on our ships.
Fleet Captain - Floatsup
"Two
transport groups are transitioning the area east of Mindoro. From their starting
area, they must end up in row 16 or column 8 by the end of the day."
Assemble Fleets and Supply convoys as prescribed.
(Fleets move approx 1 sector in 20-30 mins.)
Pilots will be allowed 1 life per Phase
Specifically, if you are KIA during the first run/sortie, you then become a
gunner to survivors, active bases, ships etc., until Phase 2.
I want to see everyone ready to kill the enemy near Frame end.
If both lives are lost early, then we have lost the battle and maybe the war.
Attack Aggressively, but conserve lives.
Once the initial Phase is completed (T+75 toT+90) and we have completed
the required actions in the HQ orders, then we will proceed with further
missions to locate and destroy targets of opportunity. We are looking to
complete all Victory Conditions this Frame.
#1 - Carrier Sunk is a MUST, #2 - Ships Destroyed 12 or
more, and #3 - Kill 110 or more enemy aircraft.
On a side note, please man the guns on our ships if you have
lost your lives. It will be especially important that we do not lose sight of
the mission if you died.
We still have to safely get convoys to A21 and position them there "until
midnight". I expect a late attack and concentration of Allied bombers and
fighters.
Gunning for a bomber is also a great option. You planned to fly 3 hours, please
plan on being here thru "End Log".
The large Brownish wheel above A-58 is an assembly area for our defensive shield and attack machine. The Planes should maintain a high altitude profile while maybe a pair of low scouts are positioned for NOE attacks. It may not position itself directly over shipping but must be ready at a moments notice to relocate to #1 Protect Shipping against the B-24s and B-25s. Once ships are out of the Yellow area the Fighters in the Ball may relocate more easterly to screen Mindoro. The Scouts positioned near the Strats, A-49 and A-50, or East of A-56 may direct the movement of the ball depending on confirmed B-24 or B-25 visual sightings.

The Rules Page should reflect this change.
"US Navy:
Three escort carrier groups and two transport groups shall proceed north up the
Sulu Sea from their starting point, arriving anywhere in destination area by end
of the day. Destination area is sectors 0.13 to 7.13."
"Imperial Japanese Navy:
Two transport groups are transitioning the area east of Mindoro. From their
starting area, they must end up anywhere in destination area by the end of the
day. Destination area is any sectors east of column 3 (i.e., in column 4 or east
of column 4)."
************
As you can see, the Allied Shipping may get lost to us in the
wide expanse. First locating their ships is of utmost priority.
It may be prudent to delay the Bombers Launch some 5-15
minutes but the decision will be left after some discussion. If our fighters
have their way with the cap, we may kill some pilots on their second lives and
then that delay could give us time to locate the shipping.
Sinking both Active Carriers is a priority.
American CVE Task Groups: Each Task
Group shall consist of a cruiser, 3 destroyers and a carrier.
My original plan was to have them scout the eastern and western fringes if the
Allied Starting block. (2.10, 3.10, 4.10) If they travel East or West, the
farthest they can get is a sector line away. (0.10 / 1.10) and (5.10 / 6.10)
lines. I might have OOZ662 and his flight travel farther to the West to
catch that far sector line. Escorts can then scan the area inwards from
the bombers. If it was me, I'd go West, hug the edge of the map. But hanging in
the Blue Start area could prove me wrong.
(Fleets move approx 1 sector in 20-30 mins.)
IF the Ships are all clustered together, then we will send all bombers South of
the Blue are, or in it, to approach the CVEs from the rear.
If escorts are still heavy, a well placed bomb near the CVs island would get
some guns. That bomb may be all the extra ord we need to sink her. 3 torpedoes
will be nearly 13, 600 pounds, I think.

Phase 2
All Planes, not engaged, will Land at Home
bases and re-plane - Exit to the tower.
All Planes will re-launch as prescribed in their orders. (GL determines fuel needs per
group)
All Pilots who lost 1 life can now Re-plane and rejoin their groups.

Time permitting, rearm and refuel any active fields or replane-if
at your home base.
If both lives are lost, join a bomber as gunner or Task force gunner position.
Lastly, if still alive, CAP or fly to escort members returning home.
It ain't over until "End Log"
